Shop 'til You Drop History

Our club hosted its first craft show in late 1990’s with just a few vendors coming to monthly meetings for members to shop. The small “show” quickly grew to 100 vendors in 2006 and relocated to Lone Star College Cy-Fair campus. After having to cancel the 2008 show due to Hurricane Ike, it was moved again in 2009 to accommodate the ever-growing numbers and shoppers. Our newest and present location is The Berry Center.

What once was a small craft show has grown into Shop ‘til You Drop Marketplace, a true shopping extravaganza with more than 275 vendors & booths and is attended by over 5500 people. The event is 100% run by CWC members, our Community Partners, and various organizations that support us. We are proud to donate all proceeds back to the community in the form of student scholarships and charitable donations. Cy-Fair Women's Club has a booth at STYD located near the main entrance. We invite you to stop by our booth and chat with some of our members. We would love to visit with you!

The Pink Ladies History

How and when did pink become one of our signature colors? Our unofficial club historian, Janet Barber, shared that it was part of a re-branding champaign in 2011/2012 from Copperfield Women's Club to Cy-Fair Women’s Club.

The original club color was dark green with a pinecone logo. The members decided to keep the initials “CWC” for continuity. Pink for women and black for males was a good outline.  The members were invited to submit logos and color ideas and then members voted on the new logo as a club.  The design was simple and only two colors would be easily recognizable and inexpensive to put on shirts and cups.

And that is why we are proudly known as “
the pink ladies” to this day!
